Theater in Education - This series of courses aim to provide background on art skills and theater methods and discipline as tools for putting across ideas and content in various academic areas in schools. It is designed for teachers who are advisers of theater groups and who want to use theater methods for teaching in the classroom.
- Creative Pedagogy: Methods and Approaches to Teaching (TIE1 Module 1)
Introduces the PETA integrated theater arts approach as a creative methodology and philosophy in teaching - Creative Pedagogy: Process Drama as a Tool to Teaching (TIE1 Module 2)
Teaches the skills of process drama for the teachers' use in the classroom. Studies the aspects of production and creative process and creative dramatic performance as a process in education. - Theater History: Overview of World Art: East to West (TIE2 Module 1)
A keyhole into the world of theater, through time, in the East and West with an introduction and survey on theater history, specific periods and theater styles. - Theater History: Overview of Philippine Theater (TIE2 Module 2)
A keyhole into Philippine Theater from ritual drama to contemporary times, showing the relationship of art to society. - Theater Appreciation (TIE3 Module 1)
An appreciation course focusing on various components and elements of the theater experience. There will be inputs and practice on theater criticism - what to look for in viewing theater, learning how to differentiate good and bad theater. - Theater Appreciation (TIE3 Module 2)
The application of the theater process in the teaching-learning situation in the school curriculum as applied in natural science, physical science, social science and communication subjects.
