Courses

 

PETA offers the following courses which are occasionally reviewed and revised. These courses are not offered simultaneously but are scheduled within the boundaries of space and time.

 

THEATER FOR ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT

  • Basic Acting
    Grounds the participants in the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes on becoming stage actors
  • Creative Musical Theater
    Sounds out the participants’ innate talents in musical theater with emphasis on voice, composition, movement, dramaturgy and Philippine musical forms, coupled with fun-filled music explorations
  • Creative Dance Theater
    Explores the participants’ body as a medium of artistic expression to tell stories using movement and dance forms
  • Production Design
    Get introduced to the elements and components of design used in theater and cultural/artistic events
  • Playwriting
    Would be-playwrights get to learn the techniques, principles and processes in writing a one-act play via lectures, play viewing and critiquing, exposures and interviews
  • Directing
    Equips aspiring stage directors with the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes of an effective director by way of play analysis and studies, conceptualization and the use of forms, artistic discussions and theater practices
  • Lighting
    Would be-lighting designers learn the fundamental knowledge, skills and attitudes on technical theater by way of theoretical discussions and hands on sessions
  • Repertory Theater Guidance (RTG)
    A program of consultations, discussions, demonstrations and studio workshops designed to assist drama organizations in developing and staging a production
