The corps of young artists-teachers or members of the core group of MTTL (mostly high school and college students aged 15-21 years old) are trained to be Facilitators to develop Participation. They are the future of the company; they will grow to be fine artists-teachers of Philippine Theater as well as loving, caring and responsible persons. As part of their training they are assigned to school and community groups not just to perform as actors but also to help local partners in organizing theater groups, conduct workshops and assist in the mounting of local theater performances.
They work together with other young people both as leaders and co-participant in all aspects of theater work from writing the scripts, costume and prop making, promotions, directing, etc. Adult and senior PETA members are always at hand to help them whenever needed. PETA believes that if the ideas and initiative of young people are supported with friendly warmth and clear guidance from adults, they will be encouraged to participate and lead since this allows them to claim ownership of the experience. To allow them to grow and explore their creativity and potential is to give them both Freedom and Responsibility.
